The TA will refine the Government's feasibility studies in line with the Bank's requirements. In particular, it will examine the need for improving feeder roads in the hinterland to extend benefits to rural poor counties, prepare EIAs and carry out a social analysis of the Project including involuntary resettlements. The TA will also carry out a toll diversion study.

Consulting Services
For Part 1 (Chongqing-Guizhou Expressway Project), about 34 person-months of consulting services will be required, including about 18 person-months of international and 16 person-months of domestic consulting services in the fields of highway engineering, transport economics, financial analysis/expressway operations, environmental analysis, social analysis, and involuntary resettlement. For Part 2, about 14 person-months of consulting services will be needed, including 2 person-months of international consulting services and 12 person-months of domestic consulting services in the fields of toll traffic analysis and toll setting.
